There’s Light in Her Eyes
Chen Wei’er talked enthusiastically without pausing. She even incorporated a place in the blueprint where she could work and study.
“That’s what I think. Most of the children in the mountains are left behind. Their parents work in big cities.
“Even if they stay in the mountains, they are either farming or taking care of the animals. However, all of those take time, and the cost-performance ratio is too low.
“I’ll design a handicraft factory for them and let them work part-time while they study. The children will be able to make their own small plush toys, quaint blankets, and so on.
“Besides, doesn’t our He Group have a doll product line? We can add a series to sell the ones made by the children, and the profits will be the children’s salary. What do you think?”
He Xun smiled and looked at Chen Wei’er’s sparkling eyes. He then planted a deep kiss on her eyes.
“Aren’t you afraid that people will say you’re practicing child labor?” He Xun’s voice had a hint of playfulness.
Chen Wei’er was immediately unhappy.
“That won’t happen. When we install cameras inside, everyone can’t work for more than an hour. Otherwise, we won’t receive anything. How can it be considered child labor then? It is a work-study program!”
Looking at Chen Wei’er’s wide-open eyes and indignant appearance, He Xun couldn’t help but deliberately tease her.
“What if those children only want to farm and not do handicrafts?”
Chen Wei’er glared at He Xun.
“I want to personally design a series of dolls for the children to make. Then, I’ll sell them. If the profit isn’t high, I can just give some money to the children,” Chen Wei’er said.
“Every child should attend school.”
It could be said that for the sake of the children’s lives, Chen Wei’er had really worried her heart out.
Most importantly, even if the school was built, many uneducated parents might not let their children go to school. After all, in their eyes, they only wanted to earn money.
It was really tough to live in a poor place with underdeveloped information. In these areas, labor was tantamount to money.
Chen Wei’er had considered this point when she planned the work-study program in the school.
She wanted to encourage parents to send their children to school, but it was definitely not possible to give them money directly. By then, the salary would also have to be paid monthly.
If anyone did not attend classes and did farm work, they would definitely not get this month’s salary.
Moreover, the toys under the He Group were made of environmentally friendly materials—safe and harmless. The design style was also extremely popular with the public.
The price was high, and simultaneously, the profit was also significant.
If she added a charity series, there should be a lot of wealthy people willing to pay for it. By then, the money she could make would be substantial. Chen Wei’er believed that this would be of great help to those children.
Chen Wei’er’s mind was full of calculations.
Even He Xun, who had been in the business world for so many years, had to admit that her method was actually full of potential.
It was effective, simple, and practical!
It could also help the children.
He Xun’s heart was filled with warmth.
Why was Chen Wei’er so kind? He wanted to hold her in his arms and never let her go.
“And look, don’t they have cattle and sheep there? The children could also collect goat’s milk for those areas without a milk source. Then, they could arrange for the cold supply chain to deliver it daily. This is also a way to make money. The children are all growing, so their nutrition must keep up.” Chen Wei’er was still thinking.
“My wife is so thoughtful.” He Xun couldn’t hold it in any longer. He pulled her into his arms, pinched her slender waist, and kissed her so many times that he almost took her breath away.
Chen Wei’er was in a daze from the kiss and forgot that she was still in He Xun’s office.
And outside the door, there were four people who were busy as they sweated profusely.
Out of habit, Chen Wei’er hugged He Xun’s waist. In He Xun’s eyes, this was a blatant hint.
“You want it?” He Xun pressed his lips against the corner of her mouth and did not pull away.
His lips opened and closed as he spoke. He rubbed his mouth against her lips and constantly seduced her.
Chen Wei’er wanted to cry deep inside. Nevertheless, she still maintained the last trace of rationality as she pointed to the door outside.
He Xun took out a remote control from his desk and pressed it gently. Another partition blocked the main door.
“They can’t hear us now.” This door was built initially to discuss confidential matters, but he didn’t expect that one day he would use it for such unspeakable things.
“Let’s go to the lounge.”
In the end, Chen Wei’er was still shy and embarrassed to be there, but He Xun acted as if he didn’t hear her.
He waved his hand and swept the documents on the table to the ground.
In the next second, Chen Wei’er was pinned to the cold office table by He Xun. He Xun’s body pressed down on her like a soldering iron, and she couldn’t escape.
