Show Me Your Colors
Yu Chen was only reminding them out of his own goodwill. Why were they pestering him now?
Why did she say that she was following him? Wasn’t she afraid that she’d get lost? Did she really trust him that much? He suppressed a snort.
They clearly wanted to annoy him.
If they were ordinary people, it would be fine. However, he was afraid that they were secretly disguising themselves as ordinary tourists. Taking a deep breath, he got a hold of himself and said, “My name is Xiao Feng. You must be…”
He glanced over at Yao Tang, wondering if he had come from another secret clan.
“My name is Yao Ran.”
“My name is Chen Shen,” Cheng Yan introduced himself. “We were just taking a walk, and the scenery around us appear to be very good.”
Although the others were puzzled, they quickly got a hold of themselves and gave their own fake names.
All of them introduced themselves to Yu Chen.
After hearing their names, Yu Chen found that he didn’t really recognize their name. Their surnames also weren’t related to any underground clans that he know.
“What are you doing here?”
He glanced over at them.
This was a forbidden area. Ordinary people wouldn’t be able to find it even if they wanted to. It took real talent and luck for them to be there.
It was a dangerous place.
Hearing his words, Lin Xin narrowed her eyes. “Didn’t I tell you? We’re here to see the sky. Is your memory really that bad?”
Didn’t they just meet?
It was strange for the man to ask again.
“Are you not here to look at the sky?” She furrowed her eyebrows.
Yu Chen froze. His brain was telling him that no one would be able to stumble into this forbidden area just for the scenery. However, when he saw their confused faces, he found himself hesitating once again.
They looked extremely young.
If they really had other plans, why didn’t they have any equipment with them? It didn’t seem like they were here to look for something.
However, Yu Chen didn’t believe that they were here to enjoy the scenery.
But she looked so ordinary!
And the young girl…She looked too sincere. He couldn’t see any other ill intentions in her eyes. He pursed his lips, unsure what to do.
What should he do?
Seeing the expression on his face, Yao Tang glanced over at Lin Xin. The corners of her mouth twitched.
As expected, being naturally silly was useful.
Now, she didn’t even need to find an excuse.
Even then, it was impossible for Yu Chen to bring them into the Forbidden Forest, which was only accessible to the children of the aristocratic families.
If he was discovered, he’d lose his life.
“You guys should head back now. If you can still go back now, you won’t have to worry about anything later.”
Yu Chen shrugged. “Don’t blame me if you’re in danger.”
He needed them to leave.
“If this place really is dangerous, then why don’t you leave? Isn’t it dangerous if you enter by yourself?”
Lin Xin asked curiously.
Wasn’t he contradicting himself?
“Do as you please,” Yu Chen snapped. “Even if you die, it has nothing to do with me. I don’t want to talk to you anymore. Move.”
“Just don’t follow me anymore. If you do, then you’ll have to bear the consequences.”
There was a hint of warning in his eyes.
He only needed to use a small array to stall them.
He clenched his fists.
“Ha.”
Just as he was about to say something, someone sneered at the side.
It was the girl from the middle.
“What consequences are you talking about?” The girl smiled. “I’m sure we’re able to handle it.”
There was no fear at all.
“Then you better not regret it,” Yu Chen snarled.
If they don’t want to back off, then he’d have to teach them a lesson.
